It does not apply to the clinical information we collect from clients as part of therapy services — that information is governed separately by our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, provided at intake.

This Privacy Policy is not the same document as a HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. If you become a client, you will receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices as part of intake, governing how your Protected Health Information (PHI) is used and protected within the therapeutic relationship. This Site-level policy only covers information collected through stevensontherapy.co itself.

OUR TELEHEALTH AND CLIENT-MANAGEMENT PLATFORM

Sessions with Stevenson Therapy Co. are conducted through Sessions Health, a platform built for behavioral health practices that includes video sessions, scheduling, and secure client communication. Sessions Health is separate from this website — you'll access it after becoming a client, typically through a secure link or client portal.

Information entered into Sessions Health (appointment details, secure messages, clinical documentation) is governed by Sessions Health's own privacy and security practices as our business associate under HIPAA, not by this Privacy Policy. We're glad to answer questions about how that platform works during your consultation or intake.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

We do not process payments through this website. Billing and payment are handled directly through our EHR/practice-management system.

COOKIES AND ANALYTICS

  • Our website is built on Squarespace, which includes its own basic, first-party analytics (visit counts, general traffic sources, which pages are viewed)

  • We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other third-party advertising or tracking tool on this website

  • Squarespace's built-in analytics do not collect Protected Health Information and are not used by us for advertising

  • This website uses only the basic cookies built into the Squarespace platform, which help the Site function properly (for example, remembering your session as you browse)

  • We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party tracking

  • Most browsers let you disable cookies through your settings if you prefer, though some Site features may not function as smoothly if you do

DATA SECURITY

We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through this website, but no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

We encourage you not to send sensitive clinical details (such as specifics about symptoms or a crisis) through the general contact form. That kind of communication is better suited to a secure client portal once you're established as a client, or a phone call.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

This website is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, consistent with the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
